Sign our petition to stop this far too tall and inappropriate 34 floor tower block

Picture of proposal

A planning application has recently been submitted for The Nest, a 34 high storey tower block on Bridges Court Road, right next to the Heliport.

We know from our many conversations with residents that there are deep concerns locally about this development which include:

Too high - the proposed height of the tower is almost double the size of all surrounding buildings.
Loss of light and privacy - Loss of natural light and privacy concerns for many neighbouring residents.
Not safe - Safety fears given the proximity of such a large tower to the Heliport.
Noise and disruption - There have already been lots of building works in the area which has caused noise and disruption to local residents
Transport Issues - Bridges Court Road is already very congested, the development will make this worse. In addition, there are concerns on the impact on local services (e.g: local bus routes like the 170)

We believe the developers should go back to the drawing board - and put together a new scheme, more commensurate with the needs of the local area and with more tangible benefits for local residents.

You can see full details of the application on tinyurl.com/2rwwz265 The case number is 2025/0907.

Help us stand up for residents by taking a few seconds to sign our petition against this 34-storey block

Your voice is important and could make all the difference.

Best wishes,

Cllr Caroline de La Soujeole
